본 연구는 장애예술영재 교육을 위한 기초자료를 얻기 위해서 장애예술영재 교육에 대한 교사·학부모 인식을 조사하였다. 장애예술영재의 추정비율, 선별시기, 교육시작시기, 교육범주, 교육지원체제의 필요성, 핵심과제 등의 내용으로 구성된 설문지를 개발하여 특수학교 및 특수학급 교사 334명과 특수교육요구아동의 학부모 100명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문결과에 따르면 교사와 학부모들은 장애학생 중 장애예술영재의 비율은 약 1-5% 사이로 추정하고 있었고, 음악과 미술을 장애예술영재 교육을 위한 주요 범주로 인식하고 있었다. 또한 차별화된 교육과정과 개인사사제도를 장애예술영재 교육을 위해 필요한 핵심과제와 교육체제로 생각하고 있었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 장애예술영재 교육을 위한 전문교원 양성이 필요하고 교사 연수시 장애영재에 대한 이해교육을 제안하였다.

The responses of 334 special education teacher and 100 parent were analyzed for crosstabs.
