This paper introduces a collection of poems by Seo Myeong-in(1725~1802) called Chuisadang'yeonhwarok and analyzes his works such as serial poems named Namdosasip'hae and the Akbu(Musical Poems). Seo Myeong-in is presently a forgotten poet but his collection of poems includes very interesting works. Namdosasip'hae consists of ten poems with a meaning of 'ten songs reciting Namdosa' and each of them is a quatrain with five syllables in each line. This work takes a serial gasa(narrative poem) called Seungga(Monk's Song) dealing with love between Nam Hui and nun(who became his concubine) as a subject matter. These poems sings the inner state of woman who falls in love through the voice of female speaker. Meanwhile, Seo Myeong-in describes the situation of love affair and enjoyment of loving through the work, Song of Enjoyment, which is taking the same form of Namdosasip'hae and depicts man's betrayal and woman's resentment through the work, Song of Grudge. These three works were a trilogy based on the Seungga(Monk's Song). Seo Myeong-in enjoyed composing Akbu(Musical Poems) taking subject matters from the popular song in Hangul(Korean Alphabet) and created four poems called Woman's Song, taking subject matters from Beomjeop'yo and Nocheo'nyeoga, which were recreations of the popular sijo(short lyric song). This kind of attempt is worthy of notice in the 18th century's Korean Chinese poetry history and Korean poetry and song history.
