The purpose of this study was to examine the current regularity of giving and volunteering of Korean people and determine the effect of the giving experience in the childhood and adolescence on the level of giving and volunteering in adulthood in relation to the regularity of giving and volunteering in an attempt to explore measures which may help improve the regular giving and volunteering activities. To achieve this objective of study, technical statistic analysis and multinominal logistic regression was carried out on the basis of the data related to the giving and volunteering of all people across the country that the Beautiful Foundation investigated in 2008. The results of analysis showed that the non-givers totalled 220(21.7%) and the irregular givers totalled 693(68.4%), and regular givers totalled100(9.9%). Meanwhile, in relation to volunteering regularity, 844(83.3%) were non-volunteers, and 99(9.8%) were irregular volunteers, and 70(6.9%) were regular volunteers. Based on the multinominal logistic regression regarding the level of giving and volunteering regularity, those who participated in the regular volunteering were characterized by the higher exposure to the experience with the participation and the observation among the patterns of sharing experience, while those who participate in the irregular giving had more experience of the giving through the participation compared to those who did not participate in the giving. In relation to the effect of the interaction among the patterns of sharing experience regarding the regularity of giving, two-way interaction effect of experience and observation had statically significant effect among the regular givers compared to the those not participating in the giving and irregular givers. Meanwhile, those participating in the irregular voluntary service activities were found to have more experience with the participation in the sharing than those who did not participate in the voluntary service activities. The three-way interaction effect of the experience with the education, observation, and participation was found to be statically significant in relation to the interaction effect regarding the volunteering regularity, which suggests that the higher exposure to both types of sharing experience increased the likelihood of the participation in the regular voluntary service activities compared to those not participating in the voluntary service activities and those participating in the voluntary service activities irregularly. On the basis of those results of analysis, the implication and suggestions for the research were discussed.
