본 연구는 유아교육 현장에서 이루어지는 있는 행사 종류와 실태를 살펴보고, 행사 실태에 대한 대안으로 더불어 자라고 즐기는 잔치의 본질과 실천 사례를 소개하면서, 더불어 자라고 즐기는 잔치로 가기 위한 방안을 구체적으로 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 유아교육현장에서 이루어지는 행사의 대부분은 보여주기식 행사, 원아모집을 위한 행사로 이루어지고 있었다. 행사의 본질은 통과의례, 공동체, ‘지금여기’의 삶, 재미, 풍류, 신명 등으로 요약되고, 더불어 즐기고 자라는 잔치의 대표적인 예로서는 독일 발도로프 유치원 행사, 일본 자유보육기관 행사, 공동육아 어린이집 행사, 생태유아교육기관 행사 등이 있었다. 더불어 자라고 즐기는 잔치를 위한 방안으로 아이․교사, 학부모간의 조화와 균형 이루기, 마을과의 소통, ‘특별한 날들’을 ‘일상의 삶’으로 만들기, 자기만의 철학을 담기, 세상을 바라보는 눈 바꾸기 등을 들고 있다.
The purpose of this study was to survey the sorts and conditions at events of early childhood education institutions, and to introduce the essences, cases, and devices for festivals. Most of these were represented as “events for show” or “events for children's recruitment”. The essences of festivals were rites of passage, community, “here and now” life, and fun․poongryu(風流), shinmyung(神明). Some festivals were designed to enjoy and grow together like the events of Waldorf kindergarten in German, the free early childhood education institutions in Japan, cooperative childcare education centers in Korea, and eco-early childhood education institutions. The devices for festivals were harmony and balance with parents, communication with villages, changing “special days” to “daily lifes”, having their own philosophy, and changing paradigms to see the world.
