The purpose of this paper is to investigate the ways of description of polysemy for the Korean vocabulary education representatively of one of the adjective predicate johta 'be good'. The study has mainly focused on how to develop an appropriate method for the description of polysemy in teaching foreign learners. Keeping abreast of the times in Korean vocabulary education, the study claims that the meaning description of basic vocabulary should before everything else be centered on the meaning relations, and syntagmatic relations of the vocabulary. In addition, known the fact that the various polysemic variables of johta be well grasped by syntagmatic relations, the study proposes a format of Korean vocabulary education and the patterns of polysemy description of Korean dictionary.
