The purpose of this paper is inquiry children's literature subject of elementary school Korean language textbook in American military government period. Because children's literature subject is important component of elementary grade literary education, this study analysis dominant ideology and subject selection logic in the elementary grade Korean language textbook to the historical context of ‘Haebang’ Period. Korean language textbook and children's literature subject for literary teaching-learning functioning actual content element. So, American military government period collecting aspect and logic shows ideology and educational situation of institutional children's literature education. Specially, this problem has not studied nowadays. Dominant feature of children's literature subject in the official school education supply clue to understand this period literary education. The occurrence and origin of children's literature education is need to literary educational history. Accordingly, we have to activate discussion of children's literature movement of the literary world and institutional children's literature education. The next task is inquiry of overall side it American military government period children's literature education.
