Literature Education Meeting with Others All over the BodyHan, Gwi-EunFirst of all, we must recognize that students learn everything through their whole body. It is impossible for them to get ready to receive information by using their only brain. So in literature education, teachers must get students to accept all contents and codes of poetry all over the body. Namely, students incorporate literature, so teachers must be manipulators and ideal participants of class. The method of poetry education consists of four elements. First, participants(a teacher and students) have got to constitute rapport and they must relax. For rapport and relaxing, music, paintings, films can be used. The thing that we don't have to overlook, the intertexual media must not be subjects of teaching. The intertexual media are only 'media' of poetry education. Maintaining rapport and relaxing, participants recite a poem. Reciting is a kind of performance. A reciter identifies himself(herself) with a speaker or a listener of a poem. Through reciting, a reader incorporates the rhythm, texture, ideas, atmosphere of a poem all over the body. And they construct a metatext. The metatext goes forward generali- zation individuality to a poem. Till now, evaluation of a metatext has been done by numerical value. But the literary ability can't be evaluated by numerical value but by description of individual trait or power. Students can incorporate a poem in their personal context, and they produce metatext liberally. And the same time, students can write a poem for themselves. The poem is produced surrounded by students' experiences and lives.Literature education must keep 'literary aura'. Besides teachers and researcher must develop and elaborate methods and fill up the lack of literature education.
