This study was planned to probe into the problem of experience in the real work and read the content as a part of the education of experience. As this study aims at the problems of memory and experience, Yang Sa-jun(楊士俊)’s <Namjeong-ga(南征歌)> can be effective material in that it is based on the historical truth, Eulmyo invasion, and being in the war by himself. Through <Namjeong-ga>, we can do research on how a historical incident, such as war, affects subject’s memory and experience. Moreover, we can search for specific aspects of awareness and interpretation about the subject and the world. According to the theoretical argument that memory is divided into active and passive memory, <Namjeong-ga> is the work that sings the past as the present through active memory. The incidents of subject is systematized and reconstituted as a constant experience based on the interrelationship of past-present-future. The meaning of time is as follows. First, saying the past and the consecutive present simultaneously shows the meaning of the past as the memory of the present. Second, saying the present and the consecutive future anticipatorily clarifies the meaning of the future as the expectation of the present. Furthermore, in <Namjeong-ga>, we can find distinguishing features that individual experience is magnified and it promotes the formation of people identity as well as self-cognition. If we take a close look at the problem of experience of <Namjeong-ga>, focusing on memory and time, we will be able to discuss self-understanding and identity formation of community which differ from the earlier arguments.
