이 글의 목적은 1980년대 모더니즘 시의 교육적 가치 고찰에 있다. 1980년대 모더니즘 시는 해체라는 형식 때문에 현대시 교육의 제재로는 잘 다루어지지 않고 있다. 모더니즘 시는 서정시를 견제하고 협력하며 현대시의 다양성을 이끌어왔다. 특히 1980년대 모더니즘 시는 부조리한 현실에 대한 적극적 응전이며 자유로움의 표현으로 한국 모더니즘 시의 넓이와 깊이를 더하였다고 평가할 수 있다. 교실에서 1980년대 모더니즘 시가 교육의 제재로 활용되기 위해서는 모더니즘 시의 아름다움에 대한 인식과 꼼꼼히 읽기, 상상력이 요구되지만, 그 유용성은 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 장르 교육, 문학의 표현 방법 교육, 비평 교육, 화자 교육 등 다양한 부분에서 활용 가능하다. 1980년대 모더니즘 시 교육은 교사와 학습자에게 현대시 교육의 의미 제고하게 하는 역할을 하며, 학습자로서의 독자의 안목을 높이며 문학 장르에 대한 융통성을 갖게 하는 계기가 될 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to consider educational value in modernism poems written in the 1980’s. Due to the form of deconstruction of the 1980’s modernism poems, they have been hardly dealt with as the material of education for contemporary poems. Modernism poems have contributed to the diversity of contemporary poems while checking and cooperating with lyric poems. In particular, the 1980’s modernism poems can be evaluated to have added width and depth to Korean modernism poems confronting absurd reality aggressively and expressing freedom. For modernism poems in the 1980s be properly utilized in class requires aesthetic awareness, meticulous reading and creativity but it is very useful. They can be utilized in a variety of application areas, including genre education, education on literary expressions, critical education and narrator education. In addition, education about the 1980’s modernism poems can play roles for teachers and learners to enhance the meaning of contemporary poetry education and reestablish the range of it and also can provide chances for learners to have a discerning eye as a reader and be equipped with genre flexibility.
