본 연구는 위축유아와 일반유아의 모래상자 표현특성을 비교하고 모래상자놀이와 동적 집-나무-사람(K-HTP)이 위축유아를 변별해 주는 유용한 도구인지 입증해 보고자 위축유아(30명)와 일반유아(30명)의 모래상자 제작시간, 사용한 놀잇감의 전체 수, 범주별 사용한 놀잇감의 수와 범주 수, 최초 놀잇감과 선호도, 공간 활용 형태, 모래상자의 표현특성과 위축유아와 일반유아의 K-HTP를 비교하였으며, K-HTP와 모래상자와의 관계를 살펴보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 위축유아와 일반유아간의 제작시간 차이에서, 초발시간에서는 유의미한 차이가 있었으나 제작시간 및 총 시간에서는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 놀잇감 차이에서는 사용한 장난감의 전체수, 범주별 장난감의 수와 범주 수에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 또한, 위축유아와 일반유아에 따라 모래상자 공간 활용 형태와 표현특성에서 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, K-HTP를 분석한 결과에서는 지움, 약한 필압, 음영, 타인묘사, 부착, 세부묘사, 가장자리, 상징 4, 그림의 크기에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 동적 집-나무-사람(K-HTP)과 모래상자의 관계를 살펴보면, 긴장되고 불안하며 위축된 유아는 그림의 크기가 작고, 가장자리에 그림을 그리거나, 지우기나 음영이 많은데, 이는 모래상자의 공간배치가 반 이하이고, 모래상자 밖을 활용하거나, 모래상자놀이를 시작하기까지의 초발시간이 긴 경우들과 연관되어 있음을 알 수 있다.


The purpose of this study is to prove the sand tray play can be useful tool to discriminate withdrawn children from ordinary children by analyzing the characteristics of sand tray expression. For this study, thirty withdrawn and another thirty ordinary children were tested in terms of making time, number of toys, number of toys by categories and number of categories, first selected toy and preference, pattern of space use, characteristics of expression of sand tray and K-HTP of withdrawn and ordinary children. And the results were as follows: the starting time was different between withdrawn and ordinary children, but, there was not any considerable difference total duration. there were considerable differences in the total number of toys, number of toys by categories, number of categories. There was considerable differences in the pattern of the space uses in the characteristics of the sand tray expressions. the K-HTP was analyzed of that there were differences in erasing, weak pencil grasping, expressing shadows, expressing other people, sticking, detailing expression, edges, symbol 4, sizing of picture. the relation of the K-HTP and the sand tray, we can realize that the withdrawn children draw small size picture, use edge of paper, have more erasing and shadows, and these characteristics have some relation with the under-half space use, the using out of the sand tray, and the long starting time.
