This study investigated the effects of the English pronunciation performance of Korean elementary school students on their English self-concept and English academic achievement. A total of 74 sixth grade elementary students participated in the research and were divided into three groups according to their pronunciation performance. It was revealed that there is a significant positive correlation between the students’ English pronunciation and their self-concept. Furthermore, there were statistically significant differences of English self-concept between the lower and other level groups. In addition, the different English test scores of all groups were very significant. The results indicate that the elementary students’ English self-concept and their English academic achievement could be boosted by improving their English pronunciation performance.
