AB - In this essay I inquired into the therapeutic properties of Korean shaman myths. They brought considerable changes on my life. I could realize my own mental problems and adjust them while I was writing about shaman myths. I trust in the therapeutic power of Korean shaman myths. I think the therapeutic power of shaman myths originate in the literary characteristics as follows : (1) Shaman myths reflect one's life in archetypical mode. (2) They disclose one's hidden mental problems straightforwardly. (3) They sublimate the problems by the manner of affirmation and tolerance. (4) They exercise continuous influence over one's spirit. I believe they could be applied to literary therapy variously and effectually.
