In this study, a literature class in which a viewpoint of literary therapy was introduced has been conducted for 1 year to apply literary therapy techniques to school education. In order to use literature as a subject of experience, analysis of impressive scenes, reorganization of undesirable contents, creation of a new story by identifying oneself with a character, preparation of an emotion table, and reading by a phenomenological method have been developed and applied. After the course was completed, analysis was carried out using questionnaires. As a result, the followings were found: first, students restored affinities to literary works; secondly, they faced their thoughts and emotions that they had not recognized; thirdly, they newly found themselves and their abilities; and lastly, they got to have confidence in their own thoughts and emotions. Overall, it is proposed that students could cultivate abilities to control their thoughts and emotions toward desirable directions as a result of conduction of the literature class to which literary therapy techniques were applied.
