본고는 설화 <뒤주 태운 남편과 간부 제사 지낸 아내>와 영화 <아내가 결혼했다>의 서사를 비교하여 남편과 또 다른 이성을 사랑하게 되는 아내의 문제의식을 살펴보고 그것의 의미가 무엇인지 밝혀보고자 한 것이다. 이에 그 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 두 작품에는 남편 이외에 또 다른 남자와도 사랑을 할 수 있다는 아내의 시선이 배태되어 있다. 그리고 남편 이외의 이성에 대한 아내의 사랑이 진정성 있는 것으로 취급된다. 둘째, 두 작품에는 아내의 시선과 상반되게 여전히 결혼이라는 제도라는 것이 갖는 인간관계의 독점욕을 남편을 통해 보여주고 있다고 할 수 있다. 그리고 남편의 아내에 대한 독점욕은 아내에 대한 징벌을 과한 것으로 판단하게 한다. 셋째, 위의 두 가지 특성은 결혼이라는 제도 갖는 1:1의 사랑이 과연 절대적이라고 할 수 있는가 하는 의문을 갖게 하는 데 기여한다. 이러한 세 가지 공통성은 영화 <아내가 결혼했다>와 설화 <뒤주 태운 남편과 간부 제사 지낸 아내>에 대한 상호적 이해를 진작시키는 데 기여한다고 본다. 그리고 영화 <아내가 결혼했다>는 설화 <뒤주 태운 남편과 간부 제사 지낸 아내>의 문제의식을 반복하고 있다고 할 수 있다. 이런 점에서 설화에 잠재되어 있는 서사를 영화에서 포착한다는 것은 매우 유의미한 일일 수 있다고 본다.

This paper is to reveal a wife's critical mind and the meaning on atale <A husband who burned a rice chest and a wife who held aceremony to pray for an adulterer> by comparing with a movie <MyWife Got Married>. The results of analysis are as follows. Firstly, there are thoughts that people can love another one besides aspouse in two works. And wife's love for adulterer can be understoodas sincerity. Secondly, each husband in two works justify desire for exclusivepossession to his wife by institution of marriage. So husband'spunishment to his wife can be understood as unjustice. Thirdly, this two factors can attribute to have critical mind aboutthought that one people must love only one. Consequently, three factors can attribute to understand well twoworks. Based on the epical understanding, the movie <My Wife GotMarried> can be revaluated from criticism that the movie is progressiveand innovative.
