An Interpretation of the Job Epic in Webtoon ‘Mi-saeng’ through Literary Therapeutic View

이 연구는 문학치료학의 기초서사 이론을 토대로 ‘일 서사’라는 새로운 서사 영역을 제안한 것이다. ‘일 서사’란 자신에게 맞는 이상적인 삶을 모색하면서 직업을 선택하고 지속하는 과정으로써, 그 속에서 동료들과 사회적 관계를 맺고 업무라는 과업과 관계를 맺고 또 회사라는 조직과 관계를 맺는 과정을 의미한다. ‘일 서사’는 기초서사의 네 영역인 자녀서사, 부모서사, 남녀서사, 부부서사가 확장되고 전이되어 나타나는 ‘복합서사’이다. 웹툰 <미생>은 대기업 회사원들의 일상을 사실적으로 묘사함으로써 현대인의 일 서사를 대변한 작품 서사이다. 이 연구는 이 작품의 줄거리와 구조를 분석하고, 등장인물들의 일 서사를 비교하였다. 이 작품은 여러 등장인물들의 순응, 양육, 선택, 지속의 서사를 포함하고 있으며, 그 안에는 다양한 좌절과 성공의 양상들이 펼쳐진다. 또한 이 작품은 서로 다른 수준을 보이는 일 서사들 간의 서사위계를 내포하고 있고, 실제 있었던 유명한 대국의 기보 전개와 서사의 전개를 병치하는 서사병렬을 활용하였다. 이러한 특성들이 독자의 자기서사를 성장시키는 데 유의미한 효과를 발휘할 것으로 기대된다.

The study propose a new epic category of 'Job epic’ based on the theory of fundamental epic in literary therapeutics. The 'Job epic’ means the process of career choice and continuation in various relationships looking for the ideal life that suits you. And the 'Job epic’ is a kind of complex epic which is expanded and transformed from the foundation epic based on family relationships. Webtoon ‘Mi-saeng’ is a representative contemporary story describing the daily life of major company employees. This study analyzes the plot and structure of the work and compare job epics of the various characters. This work contains the epics of ‘adaptation’, ‘nurture’, ‘choice’, ‘continuance’ and also shows the various aspects of ‘frustration’ and ‘success’. Therefor epic hierarchy between the different maturity levels could be demonstrated. Futhermore the specific effects of epic parallel between the actual records of baduk and job epics was found out. These characteristics are expected to be a help for readers to matures their own job epics.
