이 연구는 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 1, 2학년 통합 교과서의 다문화 교육 내용을 분석하여 다문화 교육의 시사점을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 분석 준거는 ‘세계적인 시각 및 관점’, ‘문화간 이해’, ‘세계적인 문제 및 이슈’, ‘세계체제’의 4가지 영역으로 설정한다. 초등학교 통합 교과서에는 다문화 교육과 관련된 내용이 모두 들어 있어서 다문화 교육이 강조되고 있음을 짐작할 수 있다. 그리고 다문화 교육 관련 지도 시수도 1학기 보다는 2학기에, 1학년 보다는 2학년에 더 많이 배정하였다. 교과별로는 슬기로운 생활, 즐거운 생활, 바른 생활 순으로 다문화 관련 교육 내용을 많이 다루고 있고, 학년별로는 1학년보다 2학년이 더 많이 제시되었다. 나라별로는 우리나라 문화를 가장 많이 제시하여 지도하고 있다. 4가지 분석 준거 중에서 ‘문화간 이해를 위한 교육’이 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 이렇게 분석한 결과는 한편으로는 다음 교과서 편찬의 기초 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이며 교과서 질 개선과 다문화 교육의 방향을 마련하는데 도움이 될 것이다.
An aims of this study consider implication of multicultural education through analysis multicultural education content of elementary 1st and 2nd grade integration textbook. Analysis criteria of this study is global viewpoint, understanding of culture, global issue, global system. Elementary integration textbook includes multicultural education content. Therefore, our society stress the need of multicultural education. In addition, school hours of multicultural education are more assigned second semester than first semester and second grade than first grade. About subjet, multicultural education content of a large quantity is gived in order of disciplined life, intelligent life, pleasant life and about grade, more gived second grade than first grade. And on nation, the Korea culture is most important treated than foreign culture. The understanding of culture from among four criteria is most important treated. According to results of study, this study will provide the basic data about textbook compilation and improve quality of textbook. And this study will present a direction of multicultural education.
