AB - There is no trace of hero worship, but there is necrolatry in ancient Israelite religion because of Israelite monotheism. Ancient Israelites did not consider death as the end of life. They believed in life in the afterworld. So they called up spirit of the dead from the underworld in order to solve their problem awaiting solution. However they had been underestimated the afterworld because of their monotheism.
