This study aims to propose a descriptive model for effective learning aimed at conjunctive endings, “-deoni”, from among grammar items proposed in Korean language textbooks and Korean language dictionaries. It is necessary to conduct many studies on the efficient description of grammar items shown in Korean language textbooks, grammar books, and dictionaries that are used by Korean language learners because this will make it possible to offer more connective education. This study summarized descriptions in existing Korean language textbooks and Korean language dictionaries aimed at conjunctive endings, “-deoni”; and thereby identified problems in description and matters for improvement. Also, the study discussed the morphological, syntactical, and semantic characteristics of conjunctive endings, “-deoni”, in grammar items, that is, the establishment of a semantic concept and grammatical limitations (tense, aspect, and subject agreements) for conjunctive endings, “-deoni”. Lastly, the study proposed a descriptive model with which learners may learn efficiently conjunctive endings, “-deoni”, by integrating all relevant information to the above discussed conjunctive endings, “-deoni”.
