The purpose of this study is to select and grade connective expression of thereason·cause for korean learners. There is a wide range of reason and causeexpressions in Korean, it’s not easy to learn how they are used in actualconversation. This study make a full list of items to teach based on thereanson·cause expressions in Korean teaching materials, dictionary and functionalexpressions book. And then select educational items and grade them based on theKorean native speaker’s patterns of using connective expression of thereason·cause through the balanced corpus(Written&spoken), and the difficulty ofthe reason·cause expression items. In addition, this study suggests “weightedvalue” to select and grade connective expression of the reason·cause. This studyaims to make a educational list of reason·cause connective expressions, andprovide a basic data for reason and cause education.
