If the process makes a same product continuously, learning effect occurs and reduces direct man-hour(direct labor) per product. Especially for the case of defense contract, direct labor cost is the most influential element in the cost. In this study, we analyze the change of learning curve as the phases of production are accumulated for a ground weapon system. The points of this study are reflection of outsourcing processing which is affecting direct man-hour to learning curve and estimation of learning rate in each production phase. The results using a unit curve theory are as follows. First, the learning rate in early phases is lower than that in last phase. Second, disconnection on the learning curve graph is occurred at the end of each phase. Government promotes to make a firm-contract. In this situation we wish this kinds of analysis helps to make proper costs.
