이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 저학년의 친사회성 증진을 위한 집단상담 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 프로그램의 구안은 박인우(1995)의 체계적인 상담 프로그램 개발 모형을 바탕으로 조사, 분석, 설계, 구안, 적용의 5단계를 거쳤으며, 잠정적으로 구안된 프로그램에 대해 이론 전문가와 현장 전문가의 자문 과정을 거쳐 수정․보완하였다. 프로그램의 효과 검증을 위해 G시에 위치한 초등학교 2학년 학생들 중 사전검사 결과 친사회성 정도가 유사한 2개 학급을 선정하여 1개 학급(22명)은 실험집단, 다른 1개 학급(22명)은 통제집단으로 선정하여 프로그램을 실시하였다. 검사도구는 이선화(1999)의 친사회적 행동 검사지를 사용하였고 혼합변량분석(Mixed ANOVA)으로 자료처리를 하였으며 양적 연구의 한계를 보완하기 위하여 집단원의 경험보고서와 상담자의 관찰내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 친사회성 증진 프로그램의 효과성이 입증되었으며 하위 영역인 도움주기, 나누기, 위안하기, 협동하기에서도 두 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.


The purpose of this study is to verify the effect on the improvement of prosociality by developing and applying the group counseling program to improve prosociality in the lower grades of elementary school. This study was to select two classes with the similar average of prosocial behavior test among the second-year elementary school students located in G city as research object, and to compose of 22 students in one class as experimental group and of 22 students in the other class as control group. This study was to execute the group counseling program to improve prosociality by using creative experience activity hour twice a week from Sept. 2 to Oct. 12 by devising it as total 12 sessions based on the counseling program development model by In-Woo Park(1995). As to the research tool, this study was to use the questionnaire to measure the degree of prosociality through the self-report by the children among the questionnaires of prosocial behavior by Sun-Hwa Lee(1999). There were items among the items which could not be understood in the level of lower grades of elementary school, so this study was to insert the subject in order that the meaning of questions could be delivered to one major professor of counseling psychology and one doctor of counseling psychology with the verification of validity, and to modify and use a part of terms easy and familiar to the lower grades of elementary school. The data processing analyzed the statistical result by using the Mixed ANOVA in the SPSS/Windows 20.0. To supplement the limits of reliability which the quantitative result had, this study was to suggest the group members' experience report and counselor's content of observation. From the result of this research above, it may be summed up as follows. This study has found out that the changes in the prosociality in the experimental group which participated in the group counseling program to improve prosociality had change in the control group and had significant difference. Furthermore, this study has shown that the changes in the helping, sharing, comforting, and cooperating in the experimental group from the analysis result by the subarea of prosociality had change in the control group and had significant difference. In addition, as a result of analyzing the group members' experience report and counselor's contents of observation, this study has found out that this program had positive effect to improve prosociality in the lower grades of elementary school.
