본 연구는 전래동요를 활용한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동이 유아의 언어 및 사고능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 밝히는데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 연구대상은 실험집단과 비교집단 각각 만 5세 유아 20명씩 총 40명이었다. 두 집단의 유아들은 사전검사, 실험처치, 사후검사의 순으로 진행되었으며, 실험처치를 위해 총 8주 동안 주2회 전래동요를 활용한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동을 구성하여 적용하였다. 전래동요를 활용한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동이 언어 및 사고능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20 통계프로그램을 이용하여 두 집단의 사전과 사후검사의 평균과 표준편차를 구하고 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 분석한 결과 실험집단이 지각에 기초한 기능, 분석적 기능, 종합적 기능, 추리적 기능에서 비교집단보다 더 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로 전래놀이동요가 가지고 있는 놀이의 가치와 유아기의 주요한 발달과제로 볼 수 있는 언어 및 사고능력에 향상이 있음을 알 수 있다. 이는 유아교육현장에서 누리과정에 기초한 전래동요 프로그램이 유아교육현장에서 개발되고 적용될 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
This study was implemented on purpose of figuring out the effect of lyrics changing activities using traditional children’s song to language and thinking ability of infants. The targets of the study were 40 in total, including 20 of 5 year old infants each to the experimental group and comparison group. The infants of 2 groups processed in the order of pre-examination, experimental process, and post-examination. The activity of the lyrics change using the traditional children’s song for twice a week for 8 weeks in total was composed and applied to the experimental process. The collected data to figure out the effect of the lyrics changing activity using the entire children’s song calculated the average and the standard deviation of the pre and post examinations of two groups by using SPSS 20 statistical program, and implemented Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). As a result of the analysis, the experimental group shown to have higher function based on perception, analytical function, complex function, and diagnostic function compared to the comparison group. Consequently, it could be figured that the language and thinking ability, which could be seen as the major development tasks of infant period and the value of play that the traditional children’s song had been improved. This implies that the traditional children’s song program based on the Nuri curriculum is necessary to be developed and applied from the infant education sites.
