이 글은 중국 학계가 대대적인 사업으로 발간한 101권 분량의 중화문화통지 중 地域文化典 10권의 도교문화 서술에 대한 분석을 시도한 것이다. 도교를 공간적, 지역적으로 서술한다고 하는 작업은 복잡한 성립과정을 가진 도교의 연구에 있어 매우 중요하다. 그러나 의욕적인 시도에도 불구하여 중화문화통지 地域文化典은 서술에 있어 다음과 같이 몇 가지 문제점을 가지고 있다.첫째, 도교 문화에 대한 지역적인 특징이나 독특한 발전양상에 대해서 적극적인 검토가 이루어지지 않았다.둘째, 중국내 지역 간의 도교 문화의 차이나 상호 교류 및 영향관계에 대해서 검토가 충분히 이루어 지지 않은 상태에서 집필되었다.셋째, 전체적으로 체계적인 서술이 결여되어 있다. 말하자면, 각 지역의 도교문화와 관련된 공통의 주제를 깊이 있게 검토한다든지, 상호 충돌되는 역사적인 사실을 냉철하게 검토하여 객관적으로 서술한다고 하는 자세가 결여되어 있다.중화문화통지 지역문화전이 편찬된 1998년 이후 각 지역의 도교문화에 대한 연구가 상당히 진척되어 있다. 향후 다시 지역별 도교 문화에 대한 편찬이 시도된다면, 그러한 연구 성과를 적극적으로 포함시켜야 할 것 같다.

【Abstract】 Analysis on Contents of Taoism written in Di Yu Wen Hua Dian of the Zhong Hua Wen Hua Tong Zhi Lim, Tai-hong This paper analyzes the contents on Taoism in the Di Yu Wen Hua Dian(地域文化典) of the Zhong Hua Wen Hua Tong Zhi(中華文化通志) series 101 volumes, which have been extensively published in China in 1998. It is very important work to describe the Chinese Taoist culture by the regional division, because of its complexity in the course of formation. However, there are some problems in the contents of the books as follows. Firstly, there does not seem to be sufficient efforts to show the regional features or the unique development aspects in each regions of the Taoist culture. Secondly, the books have been written without the sufficient investigation on the differences or inter-influences in Taoist culture among the regions. Lastly, the contents of Taoist culture in the Di Yu Wen Hua Dian do not seem to be organized well. In other words, there are not deep investigation about the hot issues of the regional culture of Taoism. Some contents obviously conflict with each other.
