본 연구는 유아정서교육에 대한 교사연수 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 유치원 교사의 정서신념과 정서표현에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 정서교육과 교사교육 관련 문헌과 유치원 교육과정, 유치원 교육 활동 지도 자료 및 정서교육 프로그램을 고찰하고, 교사연수기관의 유치원 교사연수 자료집을 수집하여 분석하였으며, 유아의 정서발달과 정서교육 및 교사연수에 대한 유치원 교사의 인식 조사 과정을 거쳐 프로그램을 구성하였다. 다음으로 유아정서교육 교사연수 프로그램을 적용하여 유치원 교사의 정서신념과 정서표현에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 유아정서교육 교사연수 프로그램은 유치원 교사의 정서신념과 정서표현에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.


The study discussed here develops, applies, and evaluates a teacher training program for educating young children’s emotions. The preparatory research for the developmental phase of this study involved first establishing the direction of the teacher training program through a thorough investigation of the rationale for the education of children’s emotions. Then kindergarten curriculum and various teaching materials were examined. Existing programs for educating young children’s emotions were also compared and analyzed in order to determine the content and methods appropriate for emotional education. The findings of these preparatory studies are reflected in the pilot and final programs. In addition, various teacher training programs were collected and analyzed in order to determine the best training and evaluation method. Kindergarten teachers’ perceptions of young children’s emotional development and of teacher training for young children’s emotional education were ascertained through the use of interviews and questionnaires. From all of the above, a teacher training pilot program for educating young children’s emotions was constructed, administered and evaluated. A final program was constructed based on changes dictated by this evaluation. The teacher training program for educating young children’s emotions developed in this study was found to positively influence kindergarten teachers’ beliefs about emotion and emotional expression.
