본 연구는 2007년 개정 유치원 교육과정에 따른 유치원 지도서의 필요성과 적절성에 관한 교사들의 인식을 살펴보고, 새 유치원 지도서를 교사들이 활용하고 있는 실태를 파악하며, 교사들의 근무기관에 따른 인식과 활용실태를 비교하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 P광역시의 유치원교사 175명을 대상으로 새 유치원 지도서에 대한 인식 및 활용실태에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 교사들은 새 유치원 지도서가 필요하고 교육과정 운영에 도움을 준다고 여기고 있었으며, 총론에 제시한 구성방향에 맞게 구성되었고 지도서의 구성 체제, 권별 내용, 생활주제, CD-title 등이 적절하다고 인식하고 있었다. 새 유치원 지도서를 활용해 본 적이 있는 교사는 연구대상의 77.1%였으며, 주간교육계획안과 일일교육계획안 작성을 위해 사용하는 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 공사립유치원 교사 간 새 유치원 지도서에 관한 인식에는 차이가 나타나지 않았으나, 활용정도는 공립유치원 교사들이 사립유치원 교사들보다 더 높았다.
This study investigates kindergarten teachers' perceptions of the appropriateness of 'the guide book for the revised 2007 kindergarten curriculum', and of its practicality with regard to using it. Participants were 175 teachers of kindergartens located in P metropolitan city. The investigations reveals that most of the teachers surveyed think that 'the guide book is appropriate. And 77.1% of the teachers have made practical use of it. A majority of the teachers have used the guide book at the practical use level for direct educational activities and for educational content. Teachers usually refer to the guide book when they make educational plans for the week and the educational plan for the day. This study reveals no significant differences between public and private kindergarten teachers regarding their perceptions of the guide book. However, there were significant differences between the two types of teachers with regard to specific practical uses of the guide book.
