본 연구의 목적은 집을 모티프로 한 그림책에 나타난 집의 이미지를 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 집을 모티프로 하고 있는 창작 그림책 총 28종을 분석대상으로 하여 그 속에서 그려내고 있는 집의 이미지를 6개의 하위 의미 요소로 분류하여 그 내용을 제시하였다. 첫째, 독립된 주체로서 살아 숨 쉬는 집의 이미지, 둘째, 매개적 환상 놀이터로서의 집의 이미지, 셋째, 타인의 세계와 구분 짓는 정체성의 공간을 상징하는 집 이미지, 넷째, 개인의 사유지일 뿐 아니라 이웃과 주변 환경과의 관계를 시작하는 거점으로 역할하는 집 이미지, 다섯째, 수직적이고 역사적인 연속성을 상징하는 집 이미지 그리고 마지막으로 가족 간의 사랑과 공존을 위한 장소의 이미지로서 집이 그려졌다. 이러한 발견들을 바탕으로 교육적 함축들이 논의되었다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the images of house in picture books with house motif. For this, this study chose 24 creative picture books representing house motif and classified the images of house into 6 categories. First, the image of house which draws its breath is revealed. Second, the image of houses as mediating fantastic playgrounds was the most common one. Third, the image of houses in the picture books symbolized the space of each identity which distinguishes from others’ worlds and in which humans can rest and feel freedom. Fourth, the image of houses was not only private grounds but also the bases for starting relationship with the surrounding environment. Fifth, the relationship which houses symbolized in the subject picture books not only functions as horizontal but also expressed as vertical and historical continuity. Sixth, the houses were described as an image of places for love and coexistence between family members. Finally, this study discussed the educational implications with those results above.
