본 연구는 예비유아교사와 예비초등교사를 대상으로 유‧초등 연계교육에 대한 그들의 경험, 유‧초등 연계 관련 필요성 인식, 그들의 요구를 분석하고 두 집단 간의 차이를 비교 분석하여유치원과 초등학교 연계교육 체제 구축에 필요한 기초 정보를 제공하려는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 예비유아교사 122명, 예비초등교사 119명으로 총 241명이었으며, 연구도구인 설문지를 개발하고 연구 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 χ²검증과 t검증을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과 유‧초등 연계교육에 대한 경험은 예비유아교사와 예비초등교사 간에 유의미한 차이가있는 것으로 나타났으며, 유‧초등 연계 관련 필요성의 인식에서도 상대방 교육의 목표, 내용, 방법을 배울 필요성을 묻는 항목에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 마지막으로 유‧ 초등 연계교육의 요구와 관련해서는, 유‧초등 연계 관련 과목 개설요구를 묻는 항목과 유‧초등 연계 관련과목의 적당한 학점수를 묻는 항목에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다.
The purpose of study was to investigate pre-service early childhood and primary teachers’ experiences, recognition about necessity, and needs in relation to continuity between early childhood and primary education. The subjects were a total of 241 pre-service teachers(122 in early childhood; 119 in primary education). A questionnaire was developed from previous research and through meetings with experts in this area. An χ² test and t-test were used to analyze the data. In the results, in relation to their experience, there was an significant between pre-service early childhood and primary education teachers. Also, in relation to their recognition of necessity, specifically for necessity in learning educational goal, content, teaching method, there was a significant difference. Lastly, in relation to their needs, specifically for providing courses related to continuity between early childhood and primary education and offering an appropriate number of credits/courses, there were significant differences.
