The purpose of this study is to provide suggestions to improve welfare of senior citizens in a rural community by examining the current elderly welfare service in the local culture and welfare center and suggesting ideas to resolve problems. For this, there are five measures to improve elderly welfare in the local culture and welfare center. First, NACF should vitalize elderly welfare service in the center and provide various benefits. Second, elderly welfare business in a rural community should be proceeded in an effective manner as NACF and local Nonghyup play their role. Third, elderly medical checkup should be affiliated with the National Health Insurance Corporation so that more people can enjoy benefits from regular medical checkup. Fourth, exchange programs between city and farm village should proceed in a more proactive manner. The current Farm-stay program, weekend farm program and other programs should be conducted preactively for the win-win between city and farm village. Fifth, to maximize the effect of elderly welfare business, demand of farmers should be satisfied through appropriate measures
