본 연구에서는 컨벤션 서비스 속성을 컨벤션시설, 프로그램, 서비스로 구분하였고, 전시 및 국제회의 외국인 참가자를 대상으로 컨벤션 서비스 속성과 외국인 참가자의 만족의 관계에서 컨벤션시설과 참가자 만족의 영향관계, 그 영향관계에서 프로그램과 서비스의 조절효과를 알아보고자 한다. 실증 분석을 통해 본 연구에서 제시한 연구문제를 검증한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전시 외국인 참가자와 국제회의 외국인 참가자의 만족에 영향을 주는 컨벤션서비스 속성에는 차이가 있는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 국제회의 참가자가 전시 참가자보다 컨벤션 서비스 속성에 대한 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 컨벤션시설 중 회의실 시설과 특수시설이 외국인 참가자 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 회의실 시설이 만족에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 컨벤션 시설인 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 조절효과로는 프로그램이 특수시설과 외국인 참가자 만족 관계에서 유의한 조절효과를 보였으며, 다양한 서비스는 회의실 시설과 외국인 참가자 만족 관계에서 유의한 조절효과를 나타내었다.


This study analyzes the relations between the convention service attributes and the international participants' satisfaction through the effects of convention facilities on the satisfaction. It also exams the moderating effects of the program and the service offered by the convention on that relations. . The result of the study indicates that "meeting room facility" had the most effects on the relation between the convention facilities and the satisfaction, followed by the "special facilities". However, "interior facilities" was not found to have significant effects on the relations. Additionally, the important finding of this study is that "various service" was found to have significant moderating effects between the "meeting room facilities" and "international participants' satisfaction". This suggest the urgent need for developing and offering various services according to various needs of various types of the participants. Also, it is found that "program" had a significant moderating effect between the "special facilities" and "international participants' satisfaction". It is strongly recommended for the future research to identify other convention service attributes affecting the international participant's satisfaction by the types and sizes of the convention while also segment services to better meet the needs of different types of international participants in accordance with the types of convention, types of the convention's specialty and etc. It would be also interesting to compare and contrast the cultural factors influencing convention satisfaction.
