In order to develop the method of early intervention(=care and education) for infants with disabilities, the intervention status of and need for the infants with disabilities were investigated with the 83 teachers working in the infants intervention institutions. The following results were obtained. First, in the intervention of infants with disabilities, the development area of which the teachers believe the most important appeared the guidance for the activities of dairy living. This result implies that the need for the education is highly required in the planning of the infantry intervention of the infants with disabilities. Second, the management of the program was mostly restructured by the teachers for the actual applications, and the plans were independently executed by the teachers. Therefore, teachers suggested supporting the arrangement of the time and materials and/or supplying the programs and materials to apply for the intervention. Third, most educational institute performed the parents' consulting monthly, and informations on the disabilities and family based educations were highly required in the parents' consulting. This result suggests that training the parents for the special education and more systematic management of the supporting program for the parents are needed. Fourth, the following intervention was not so sufficiently performed after graduating. This information could be infer with the lack of the regional advertisement or the low cooperation level. Fifth, it has appeared that teachers required the increasing and the support of the teaching training opportunity more. The other hand, the parents required the expanding the individual teaching time for their infants.
