The purpose of this study was to comprehend the influential factors of the quality of life in Korean-American immigrant elderly placed under health care facilities in the United States. The data was analyzed using SPSS21.0. The results were as such: family support was also related to depression, and powerlessness was related to depressionand the quality of life. Powerlessness was statistically different to age, the level of education, the health conditionsand ADLs. Depression was statistically different to the frequency of family visits and ADLs, and the quality of lifewas statistically different to the subject’s age. The 45.7% of the quality of life was explained by depression and powerlessness. In other words, the lower the levels of depression and powerlessness, the higher the quality of life. Theconclusion derived from this study is that, in order to improve the qualities of the lives of Korean-American immigrantelderly under the care of US health care facilities, it is crucial to consider the age, the level of education, the healthconditions, and the ADLs and continually manage the levels of depression and powerlessness in each of them.
