The purpose of this paper is look into ‘Susung(Korean’s traditional teacher)’ from 『Lao -Tzu(老子)』, also known as 『Tao Te Ching(道德經)』. The Su-Sung’s three characters are in the 『Lao -Tzu(老子)』. First, he is one who knows a positive knowledge in the Tao- Te Ching, and how to stop the behavior or thought. He, in pure and true form, meets with students, so that students can get inspiration themselves. Second, he is one who goes back to the brightness. He deeply knows about the 'being' rather than understanding the harmony of the universe and insight of the life as an 'object'. He reminds students to look inside themselves well. Third, he may look ordinary, but inside he is extraordinary. Because of his ordinary appearance students will not give up. But he leads the students into an extraordinary state. We, ourselves, must ruminate on these three characteristics. Only then can we assume them.
