유가미육은 공자의 仁學에 기초한다. 유가는 사람들이 서로 사랑하며 善한 마음을 실천해야 한다고 주장한다. 이를 위해서는 사람이 되는 교육방법이 필요하다. 유가미육은 예술을 통하여 개인과 군중의 정서에 호소하며, 어진사람이 되는 정감교육을 강조한다. 이는 유가가 하고자하는 교화의 수단이다. 유가는 예술을 중요한 수단으로 삼으며, 仁에 부합하는 이상적 사회를 건설하려 한다. 서예작품은 점·획으로 구성된 추상예술이지만, 서예가의 사상과 감정이 깊이 스며들어 있다. 옛사람은 그것을 통하여 자신의 이상과 인품을 표현하였다. ‘글씨를 쓰려거든 먼저 사람이 되어야’ 한다는 것은 명품제작의 필요조건을 말한다. 본고는 유가 심미교육의 근본취지 중 하나로 첫째는 盡善·盡美의 德育과 서예의 윤리, 둘째는 ‘天人合一’의 情育과 서예의 유비적 사유, 셋째는 서예는 그 사람의 인품으로 인하여 귀중해지는 심미교육과 서예의 品格을 탐구하여, 유학정신과 서예가 매우 밀접한 관계가 있음을 밝히고자 하였다. 결론적으로, 서예는 하나의 技藝에 불과하지만, 오히려 풍부한 예술경계, 인생경계, 도덕경계를 投射할 수 있다. 이는 유가미육으로 생명의 의미를 드러낼 수 있다고 본다. 유가미육은 수신하여 인품을 세우고, 독서를 하여 지혜를 밝히며, 심성을 함양하여 재능을 넓히고, 너그럽고 쾌활한 淸氣가 서예의 品格美로 흘러나오게 교육하여야 한다. 따라서 유가미육의 사명감은 바로 여기에 있다.
Confucian aesthetic education is based on the Confucian benevolence. Confucianism has considered that people should love each other and practice good heart. To do this, it requires education to be a person. Confucian aesthetic education is education of emotion that is appealing to the emotions of the individual and the crowd through the arts, makes a benevolent person. This is means of edification and an important subject that Confucianism intends to do. Confucianism is trying to build an ideal society that meets the humanity using the arts as an important means. Although calligraphic works are abstract art which is composed of dots and strokes, thoughts and feelings of the calligrapher has deeply penetrated in there. Old man was expressing his ideals and personality through it. In order to write the text, the first thing to the requirement of luxury production is to be a person. This paper is trying to clarify what there is a very close relationship between Confucian mind and calligraphy as one of the fundamental purposes of Confucian aesthetic education, those are through things that the first is virtue education of fulfilling the goodness and beauty, and calligraphy of ethics, the second is emotional education of unity of Heaven and man , and analogical reasons of calligraphy, the third is calligraphy does research on aesthetic education and grace that become valuable due to the personality of the man. Eventually, calligraphy is just one of the accomplishments, but can project rather abundant artistic boundaries, boundaries of life, moral boundaries. It looks that can reveal the meaning of life through Confucian aesthetic education. Confucian aesthetic education has to educate in order to establish the personality by self-cultivation, clarify wisdom by reading, develop talent by cultivating the mentality, flow out for generous and cheerful clear energy into th graceful beauty. Therefore, the mission of the Confucian aesthetic education is right here.
