목적 : 저시력환자에서 자동으로 초점조절이 가능한 저시력기구인 EYE FINE (Nitto & Kogaku, Japan)의 임상효과를 알아 보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법 : 2004년 7월부터 2005년 1월까지 본원 안과 저시력크리닉으로 내원한 저시력환자 21명에 대하여 EYE FINE瑛 착용시킨 후 시력과 대비감도를 측정하였다. 결과 : 기구착용 전 원거리 최대교정시력은 평균 1.00±0.30 LogMAR였으나, 착용 후에는 평균 0.69±0.34 LogMAR로 통계적으로 유의하게 향상되었다(P<0.01). 근거리 최대교정시력은 착용 전의 0.89±0.25 LogMAR에서 착용후에는 0.71±0.30 LogMAR로 향상되었고(P<0.01), 대비감도 검사결과는 기구착용 전에는 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 18 cycles per degree (cpd)에서 각각 평균 7.9±4.5, 10.8±7.4, 10.5±9.6, 3.9±3.8, 2.0±2.7 이었으나, 착용 후에는 각각 10.5±8.0, 15.1±10.6, 16.3±13.6, 6.5±7.3, 2.5±3.0로 나타났다. 결론 : EYE FINE瑛 작업거리에 따라 자동으로 초점이 조절된다는 점에서 특히 유용한 저시력기구이다. <한안지 47(6):966-970, 2006>


Purpose: To evaluate the clinical results of the auto-focusing low vision device (EYE FINE) in low vision patients. Methods: We assessed the clinical effect after prescription of the device in 21 patients who visited the low vision clinic from July 2004 to January 2005. We examined visual acuity and contrast sensitivity before and after prescription. Results: Mean distant visual acuity increased from 1.00±0.30 LogMAR to 0.69±0.34 LogMAR and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). Mean near visual acuity increased from 0.89±0.25 LogMAR to 0.71±0.30 LogMAR (P<0.01).
