목적: 각막굴절교정 콘택트렌즈 착용 후 시력의 질 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 처음으로 각막굴절교정 콘택트렌즈를 착용하는 24안을 대상으로 double pass 원리를 적용한 Optical quality analysissystem (OQAS, Visionmetrics SL, Spain)을 이용하여 변조전달기능(MTF cutoff), Strehl ratio, 객관적 산란지수(OSI)를 측정하여 렌즈착용 전과 4주 후를 비교하였다. 결과: 구면렌즈대응치는 -2.70 ± 1.03diopter (D)에서 렌즈 착용 후 4주째 0.03 ± 0.36D로 감소되었고, 나안시력은 logMAR 0.88± 0.17에서 0.03 ± 0.04로 호전되었다. MFT cutoff는 착용 전 38.20 ± 11.01, 착용 후 34.79 ± 10.30으로 감소하였고, Strehl ratio는착용 전 0.24 ± 0.07, 착용 후 0.21 ± 0.07로 감소하였으나, 통계학적으로 유의한 변화는 없었다. OSI는 착용 전 0.38 ± 0.19, 착용후 0.72 ± 0.40로 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다. 결론: 각막굴절교정학 콘택트렌즈는 착용은 근시, 난시를 효율적으로 교정하는 수단이었으며, 각막굴절교정학 렌즈착용은 OSI를 증가시키지만, MFT cutoff, Strehl ratio에는 영향을 미치지 않았다.


Purpose: To evaluate the change of visual quality after wearing orthokeratology lenses overnight. Methods: This study included 13 patients (24 eyes) who wore orthokeratology lenses for the first time. Visual quality was assessedwith the optical quality analysis system (OQAS) using the double-pass technique. The value of modulation transfer function(MTF) cutoff, Strehl ratio, and objective scatter index (OSI) were measured at baseline and 4 weeks after wearing thelenses. Results: The mean spherical equivalent decreased from -2.70 ± 1.03 diopters (D) to 0.03 ± 0.36 D after 4 weeks of wearing orthokeratologylenses and uncorrected visual acuity improved from log MAR 0.88 ± 0.17 to log MAR 0.03 ± 0.04. The MTF cutoff decreasedfrom 38.20 ± 11.01 to 34.79 ± 10.30 and the Strehl ratio decreased from 0.24 ± 0.07 to 0.21 ± 0.07 but without statisticalsignificance. The OSI significantly increased from 0.38 ± 0.19 to 0.72 ± 0.40 after wearing orthokeratology lenses. Conclusions: Orthokeratology lenses were effective for correction of myopia and astigmatism. The OSI increased after wearingthe lenses, but MFT cutoff and Strehl ratios were not affected.
