본 연구는 실천지능의 영향력을 확인하고, 현장적용을 위한 탐색을 목적으로 실시하였다. 이를 위하여 일반지능과 표준화 학력검사와 더불어 실천지능검사를 실시하여 이들간의 관련성을 확인하였다. 영재학급의 실천지능이 일반학급에 비하여 높았으며 일반지능, 표준화학력검사와의 상관은 일반학급이 영재학급에 비하여 높았다. 영재학급이 수학·과학과 같은 학업성취와 일반지능 등을 통하여 선발이 되었음에도, 실천지능은 영재학급 선발에 실제적인 영향을 줄 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 기존의 실천지능 관련 연구들의 서로 다른 결론은 연구표집에 따른 결과일 수 있다. 본 연구 결과에 의하면 영재학급은 실천지능과 다른 변인의 상관이 낮았던 반면 일반학급은 실천지능과 다른 변인의 상관이 높다. 실천지능의 측정방법에 대한 추가연구를 제언하면서, 영재판별 및 교육의 방법으로 실천지능이 접목되어야 할 것임을 제안하였다.
The purpose of present study is to investigate the effect of Practical Intelligence on Gifted Education in Elementary School. Practical Intelligence is constructed by interpersonal relation, sports, ego-characteristic, art and ego intiative study. Subject include 319 gifted children and 293 general education children. The result appeared as follows: There were high correlation in general education children between practical intelligence test and standardized tests, but low correlation in gifted children between practical intelligence test and standardized tests. Result of the logistic regression analysis showed that practical intelligence were a significant variable for discrete gifted and ordinary class. This study shows that the trust relationships between practical intelligence and gifted educations. The implications and limitations of this research were discussed in the context of practical intelligence studies.
