본 논문은 시대적으로 선진시대의 孔子와 송대의 朱子 교육관, 우리나라의 三國高麗朝鮮時代의 교육제도와 내용을 차례로 살펴보고 마지막으로 프로그램 개발의 방향성에 대해서 논하였다. 전통 儒學에 의한 교육은 人性敎育의 중요한 內容과 目的을 제시하고 있으며, 이러한 儒學的 理念을 통하여 현실에 맞는 프로그램을 개발하는 것은 매우 적절하고 중요할 것이다. 왜냐하면 우리는 오랜 시간 동안 유학적 세계 속에서 삶을 영위해 왔기 때문이다. 전통 유학에서 가장 중요하게 생각하는 대상은 인간이다. 그리고 이러한 인간관계의 모범적 규범은 五倫으로 전승되어 삶의 중요한 틀을 형성해 왔다. 공자를 계승한 맹자는 오륜을 교육시키는 것을 중요한 일로 생각하기도 하였다. 이러한 오륜의 확대가 곧 인성교육으로 연결될 수 있다는 사실도 매우 중요하다. 人性敎育은 바로 인간에 의해서 인간이 만들어 가는 사회를 원만하고 유익한 관계로 구성하고 이를 통해 至善의 세계에 도달하고자 하는 것이다. 지식편중의 교육이 현대교육의 중점이라면 미래의 교육은 교육 내용을 실천으로 옮김으로써 바람직한 사회를 이루는 방향으로 선회해야 한다. 그 핵심에 人性敎育이 있고, 儒學의 敎育觀은 이러한 문제의 핵심을 이루는 지표가 될 것이다. 따라서 인성교육 프로그램 역시 인간관계를 어떻게 재정립하는가에 중점을 두고 편성되어야 할 것이다.

This report researched into the educational views of Confucius, Zhuxi, and the traditional Korean curriculum, from the period of the Three States to Chosun Dynasty, and dealt with the possibility and direction of developing curriculum, in the end. Confucianism always focused on the Human Nature Training in its history. So this report searched to make up the actualizable Program in the vein of the Confucian goal and curriculum. Especially, this report can take the meaning of an alternative plan to the today's entire educational crisis because of steadily increasing need for strengthening Human Nature Training. The conclusion of this report may be summarized like this : The Curriculum of this kind should map out considering intellectual side and emotional side. And the Program for improvement of the emotional side can include the Modelling, instructive teachings, and the experience-based-learning as a group, the most effective method. Besides, the good Relations between Individuals should be considered as an important part of an Individual growth as a good Human Being, because the good Relations between Individuals play an important role in being, growing, and improving personality.
