寒暄堂 金宏弼(1454~1504)은 조선조 유학이 실천지학으로서의 道學으로 가는 직접적인 계기를 마련한 학자이다. 한국사상사에서 ‘한국도학의 大宗’이자 ‘조선 五賢 중 首賢’으로서 한훤당의 위상과 역할은 확고하다. 한훤당은 김종직에게 도학을 전수 받았으나 스승 김종직이 經學과 詞章學을 불가분의 관계로 인식하고 있던 것을 비판하며 스승과는 또 다른 도학적 사상 체계를 형성하였으며, 眞儒는 ‘時中之道’로써 선비의 출처 역시 자연 법칙의 순리와 본성인 道에 부합해야 한다는 純一한 대응 논리를 펼쳤다. 오직 진리만을 따르는 道에 입각한 정치의식으로써 한훤당의 도학적 자세는 후학들에게도 그대로 전해지게 되는데 특히 그의 제자 정암 조광조에게는 醇正한 도학을 바탕으로 한 至治를 펼칠 수 있는 기반을 닦아주었다. 유학의 핵심은 修己와 安人이라고 할 수 있는데, 한훤당 도학은 安人보다는 修己에 중점을 둔 것이었다. 한훤당은 『소학』에 대한 새로운 인식과 실천운동을 전개하여 『소학』을 조선도학에 있어 가장 중요한 경전으로 자리 잡게 하였으며, 그의 <한빙계>는 修己 중심의 한훤당 도학의 결정체라 할 수 있다. 퇴계는 “오롯이 爲己의 공부를 일삼아 진실하게 실천하는 것으로 학문을 한 사람을 찾는다면 오직 한훤당 김굉필이 그러하였다.”고 하였듯이 이전의 道學者들이 文章을 숭상한 면이 있다면 한훤당에 와서야 비로소 도학은 경학을 중심으로 하는 철저한 실천지향의 학문적 전환을 보여주게 된다. 이런 점에서 한훤당의 위치와 역할은 매우 중요한 의의를 지닌다고 할 수 있다.
Hanhweondang Kim Goeng-Pil(1454 ~ 1504) is a scholar prepared to direct instruments that the Confucianism of Chosun dynasty goes to Dohak as the study of practice. As the largest denominations of Korea Dohak and the best sage among five sages, Hanhweondang’s status and role is firm in the history of Korean thought. Although Hanhweondang inherited Dohak from Kim Jong-jik, criticized his teacher Kim Jong-jik this had been aware of the classics and chapter word learning as inseparable, and has formed another Dohak over though system, real Confucianism is timely path of duty, it played a constant corresponding logic that the source of the Confucian scholar must also comply with the principle of the natural law and the path which is nature. Hanhweondang’s attitude for Dohak is intactly delivered to junior scholars as political awareness which only follows the truth based on path, especially he established the foundation for the most innocent type of politics in our history through his pupil, Cho Kwang-Jo. The core of the Confucianism will cultivating oneself and comforting others, Hanweondang dohak was focused manipulation rather comforting. Hanweondang was to develop a new awareness and practical movement for the "elementary learning", it establishes the "elementary learning" as the most important scriptures in the Chosun Dohak, his "han binggye" can be called the fruit of Hanweondang Dohak which is the center of self-cultivation there. Toegye is "If you're looking for a person who had sincerely practical study based on self-cultivation ,that will be only Kim Kwang-pil", If previous scholars venerate a sentence, As they came to Hanweondang, Dohak finally shows thorough practice-oriented academic transition that is mainly the study of Confucian classics. In this regard, Hanhweondang’s position and role have a very important significance.
