The purpose of this study was to analyze the regional economic impact of international conference which was held in Seoul and Deague during the year of 2009. The 16 regional convention multipliers were applied to the analysis. The regional convention multipliers were classified the convention industry into 544 sectors from inter-regional input-output tables. Average expenditure of convention attendees' from abroad was US$2,488. Based on attendees' expenditure and the numbers of foreign attendees in Seoul and Deague, the economic impact of the regional convention industry was measured in terms of direct and indirect effects. The output multiplier effects of Seoul region and Deague's were compared with other 15 regions in Korea. These results made comparative study of convention industries in each region. The importance of this study has contributed to present convention industry related multiplier effect, on a regional basis, by using 16 regional input-output tables.
