The rapid growth of the international conferences and events industry has created an increasing demand for English-speaking MC, who has a very important task to directly communicate with foreign audience. The objectives of this study were to analyze the elements of nonverbal communication of English-speaking MC and its possible impacts on MC’s image including his/her impression and credibility as well as message-retention by the audience. In this study, elements of nonverbal communication were divided into two categories: visual and vocal elements, and the study is designed to show which elements of nonverbal communication tools contribute to enhancing MC's impression and credibility, and effectively delivering message. The study turned out to be a confirmation of how nonverbal communication skills are important in making good impression and credibility, and help MC to effectively convey the message to audience. The major finding of the study is the significant influence of vocal communication elements for English-speaking MC. The study suggests the effective and efficient use of nonverbal communication skills for English-speaking MC and the implications of the findings are discussed and concerns rose over the need to carry further studies on English-speaking MC for international conferences.
