朴殷植의 윌리엄텔의 일대기인 瑞士建國誌(1907)의 출간은 李人稙에게 일본에서 공연됐던 巖谷小波의 연극 瑞西義民傳을 상기시키며 그의 新演劇 銀世界 창작에 영향을 준 것으로 생각된다. 巖谷小波의 瑞西義民傳에서는 제목이 ‘義民傳’으로 탈바꿈하고 배경이 일본으로 번안됐다. 자신을 죽이고 남을 위해 이바지(殺身成仁)하는 것을 강조하는 소위 무사도적 국가주의 사상의 부각은 국민국가의 기본단위인 국민주체를 일으키기 위한 것이다. 서막에서 사냥꾼, 뱃사공, 양치는 사람 등 세 사람이 교체하면서 오페라와 같이 삼방에서 노래를 부르게 한 瑞西義民傳의 연극 장면은 이인직의 삽입가요가 들어간 銀世界 공연의 참고가 됐을 가능성을 지적할 수 있다. 즉, 新演劇 銀世界 공연에 있어서 巖谷小波의 연극 瑞西義民傳이 판소리 광대가 장면이 바뀔 때 등에 창을 넣어 공연하는 창극조의 改良演劇 공연의 모델이 됐을 것으로 추측된다.
