朝鮮後期 家庭小說 가운데 어룡전, 양풍운전은 家庭內 葛藤 話素와 軍談 話素를 합성한 작품으로써 父權의 喪失과 父權의 回復을 형상화한 소설이다. 조선조 사회에서 家父長은 家族員을 통솔하고 家庭의 安定과 和睦을 도모하는 구실을 한다. 그런데 어룡전의 어이관과 양풍운전의 양태백은 그러한 구실을 수행할 수 있는 능력과 지혜가 결여되어 있다. 때문에 오히려 家族 構成員間의 葛藤이 造成되면서, 이로 인해 부권 또한 상실되고 있다. 그러나 이 두 작품의 후반부는 주인공인 아들의 활약으로 인해 가정 내 갈등이 해소되고, 가정이 재정립된다. 즉 이들 소설은 처첩 갈등, 후처와 전실 자식 간의 갈등을 통해 家父長的 秩序를 確立해 나가는 과정을 보여준 것으로, 여기서 軍談은 父權을 회복하기 위한 장치로서 기능한다. 결국 軍談 話素는 가족의 凝集을 강조하는 機制로 작용하고 있는데, 그 背景으로 父權의 强化가 놓여 있다.
