본고의 目的은 假面劇敎育의 現況을 살펴보고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 初等學生과 中學生을 대상으로 하는 國語敎育에서 체계적인 假面劇敎育을 하기 위한 論議의 土臺를 마련하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 初․中等學校 敎育課程과 敎科書 收錄 狀況 등에 대해 살펴보고, 여러 假面劇 保存會에서 초․중등 학생들을 대상으로 교육하고 있는 가면극 보존회에 소속된 전문가들의 교육 현황을 조사하였다. 이를 통해 초․중등학교 학생들을 대상으로 하는 국어교육 프로그램은 아직까지 설계된 바가 없지만, 假面劇 保存會 關係者들은 이들을 대상으로 해서 藝術敎育을 꾸준히 진행해 온 사실을 확인하였다. 이들의 敎育 現況을 교육적 설계에 필요한 항목을 기준으로 하여 조사하고, 분석하였다. 이를 통해 국어교육의 장에서 필요한 교육적 설계를 위해 요구되는 가면극교육의 目標와 內容, 方法, 評價에 대해 논의하고, 그 基本 方向을 設計해 보았다.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the Korean mask drama education and based on the results drawn from, to suggest the framework of the discussion for efficient Korean language education. To do so, this paper firstly describes the texts and curriculums of primary school and middle school, and search the education program of Korean mask drama group's specialists who teaching primary school students or middle school students. Through the research, I can make four lists. The first list is to the educational goals, second is to the educational fields, third is to the educational methods, last is to the educational evaluation. The results show that there was not a Korean mask educational program on the Korean language education for the primary school students and middle school students, but there was an arts educational program by Korean mask drama group. Through reviewing these works I suggest the basic guide lines-goal, content, method, evaluation- for Koran mask drama education in the Korean language education field.
