The tourism in Korea has been grown in quantitative aspect for last couple years despite the world economic downturn. However, due to the lack of integrated tourism policy and tourism products, the qualitative aspect of Korean tourism has not been developed yet. It is necessary to converge and integrate industries and products to develop new competitive tourism products under such Korean tourism market. While medical tourism market in Korea has many competitive advantages, there has been few research done in the aspect of convergence and integration approach in tourism. To maximize synergy between the two industries, it is necessary to understand and integrate two different perspectives. Therefore, this research is to investigate the two different perspectives of the two industries and to suggest methods to maximize synergy in order to develop medical tourism in Korea. Results of this study revealed that there were two different perspectives in most of factors. However, both parties perceived that medical specialized interpreter, one-stop service center, building international networks, service training, providing medical tourism information, adoption of certification system are very important for stabilization of Korean medical tourism market. The gap between importance and performance showed different results between the two group. While employees in medical industry thought providing information is important and performed well, employees in tourism industry thought the factor is important but not performed well.
