The purpose of this research is to provide the theoretical and empirical suggestions to bring revenue to the local economy and more visitors to local hands on festival programs. The research will suggest a couple of frames which will enhance the local economy based on festival environmental cues and experiential travel. SPSS 12.0 for Windows and AMOS 7.0 were used to get the statistical results. The results were analyzed through frequency analysis, reliability, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis. The unique situation of slow city which the actual living space is becoming part of tour sites is harming the locals’ everyday living and causing critical problems to the locals. Minimizing the negative effects on the local society by tourists is the key to getting support from the locals. Upgrading the quality of festival through diversified programs and infrastructures is necessary for the qualitative improvement on slow city. Many local governments have used local festivals as leverage method to enhance local economy. However, the study shows that local residents felt that they are not getting benefit out of festivals. Thus, efficient and effective local policies and supports are needed to help local residents’ living in terms of improving quality of life.
