Recently the Mistry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced full implementation of a five-day work-week and five-day school-week system from the mid of this year and the next year respectively. Those systems will help to boost leisure and tourism because more families will engage in domestic weekend trips. In addition, this will facilitate and accelerate the domestic tourism industries such as accommodation, tourist attraction sectors. Thus the aim of this study is to provide useful insights for accommodation marketers who targeted domestic travelers with families providing empirical findings of socio-demographic profiles and choice attributes of accommodation. The empirical findings will also be beneficial for marketers and managers by providing a basis for improved marketing and managerial decisions.
