Researchers aim to investigate the relation between perception of hotel frontline employees to behavior-based evaluation of managers and employees’ role conflict as well as role ambiguity. The relations of both employees’ role conflict and role ambiguity with job stress were further examined. A survey was conducted in order to test four hypotheses generated by the research model. The results of this study suggest that frontline employees’ perception to managers’ behavior-based negatively affect employees’ role conflict and role ambiguity while both role conflict and role ambiguity positively affect job stress.
