The purpose of this paper lies on analyzing any correlation between personal traits and performance of hospitality workers, which in turn will be used in effectively managing human resources of the hospitality industry. Consider the result of the research, First, the 1st group of employees is more likely to desire to communicate their ideas with others. They tend to be relatively liberal and engage in many different types of recreational activities. Therefore, in order to improve their work performance and satisfaction from work, they should be encouraged to engage in versatile and creative recreational activities. Second, the 4th group of employees should be encouraged in expressing their opinions and emotion. Despite of common assumptions that this personality may hinder employees from having fulfilling work relations, the statistical analysis showed that they tend to be satisfied in terms of communication and the specificity of work responsibility. Third, the other two groups (2nd and 3rd types) showed that they enjoy their work and tend to be creative, their emotion or personal feelings get in the way of their work performances. This finding suggests that an excessively emotional or strongly opinionated person may not suitable the hospitality industry work.
