This study was carried out to find out the impact of job characteristics on job involvement, job burnout and emotional labor expression acting in the process of a medical tourism coordinator attracting foreign patients and providing services. A survey on job characteristics, job involvement, job burnout, emotional labor was conducted targeting people responsible for medical tourism work or employees who work for travel agencies, medical tourism agencies, consulting firms, hospitals in Seoul performing medical tourism related work. These research findings may be interpreted that task identity based on the organization's goals and objectives act as some stress to medical tourism coordinators. When examining the relationship between job involvement and emotional labor expression acting, job involvement turned out to have a significant influence on surface acting and genuine emotion. Moreover, in the relationship between job burnout and emotional labor expression acting, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment turned out to have a significant influence on surface acting.
