이용악(李庸岳, 1914~71)은 자신의 체험적인 삶과 식민지 민중의 궁핍한 삶 그리고 유이민의 뼈아픈 실상을 통해 ‘가족’과 ‘고향’의 문제를 그의 시에 명징하게 형상화한 30년대 중요 시인의 한 사람이다. 특히 그는 일제의 수탈과 압박으로 인해 궁핍화가 극심하던 시기, 가족과 관련된 개인의 경험적 세부를 바탕으로 당대의 구조적 모순을 역사적 차원까지 시적 상상력을 확대하여 이웃의 고통을 촉발하는 비극적 현실을 그의 시에 생생하게 담아내었다. 또한 경제적 파탄에 따른 궁핍한 삶을 바탕으로, 확대된 민족적 상실공간으로서의 고향을 핍진하게 그리는 등 ‘가족’과 ‘고향’의 아픔을 밀도있게 형상화했다.
The thesis is written to notify the poetic aspect of family and hometown motifs described in Lee, Yong-ag's poems. Lee, Yong-ag(1914-71) is one of the leading poets in the 1930s who clearly depicted the matter of 'family' and 'hometown' through his own life, the needy life of the populace during the Japanese colonial period, and painful reality of the displaced. He, especially vividly visualized tragedy causing neighbor's pain by extending his poetic imagination to the historical aspect related to the era's structural paradox. It is based on his personal experiences on family in the desperate struggle against Japanese' exploitation and oppression. The poet also portrayed the pain of 'family' and 'hometown' caused by a life of distress followed by the economic difficulty as hometown of room for national loss.
